How
Secure is My Information?
Protecting your personal information: RudyToys.com pledges a safe
and worry-free shopping experience. Our agents use the industry
standard for Internet security to scramble your personal and credit
card information as it travels over the Internet during the checkout
process. This encryption makes it impossible for anyone to read
your information in transit. We protect all of your personal information,
including your name, address, password AND credit card information.
You will know you're in the "secure" area of our site
when you click on the blue "Checkout" button. Notice
that the "http" portion of RudyToys.com's Web site address
in your browser changes to "https." The "s"
stands for "secure." In addition, both Netscape and
Internet Explorer use special symbols to indicate that you're
in a Web site's secure area. (Earlier versions of Netscape use
a highlighted key. More recent versions of Netscape and all versions
of Internet Explorer show a closed, highlighted lock.) Some browsers
let you know that you're moving in or out of a secure area by
notifying you with a special pop-up window that requires you to
click "ok" before continuing.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access
to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when
finished using a shared computer.
Protecting your credit card information: Secure Sockets Layer
(SSL 128-bit) encryption scrambles your credit card number when
you submit your order, making it completely unreadable as it travels
over the Internet.
What
about My Account?
Creating an account: Unlike many e-commerce sites, we don't
require our customers to create an account and keep information
on file with us. We do store order-specific information for the
fulfillment of each separate order.
Storing your credit card number: We do not store your credit
card number in relation to your account for future orders. With
each new order we ask that you re-enter your credit card number
each time you checkout. Please verify that you are on a secure
page in our website before providing credit card information.
(This is indicated by the "https" on your browser's
web site address display). We do not recommend including credit
card information in emails, newsletter subscription pages or other
unsecured pages.
